You probably already noticed two things. First, this isn’t a book review. Second, this isn’t New Year's Day. Yes, I know. But for those still in school, it is a new year. A new academic year. Summer is almost over, however that doesn’t mean the best days are over. For me, I am just getting started. The best is yet to come. As my life changes from slow sun-drenched hours to crisp mornings fueled by ambition, so will this blog. Pens & Arrows is expanding.
If you look at the home bar at the top of the page, you will see a new widget. An Instagram widget. What you are thinking is correct. Pens & Arrows now has an Instagram account! I will be posting reviews, daily quotes, and more literature related media. My blog was a step into the unknown for me and I wanted to continue venturing into new worlds, hence I am striving to reach more people and create media that inspires. Follow me there to stay updated!
This is only the first of non-review posts. While the platforms used for Pens and Arrows have increased, so will the types of content. I will be more consistent publishing posts that include not only reviews but author interviews (keep your eyes open for one coming soon!), seasonal book recommendations, deep dives into the science behind good stories, and even a few glimpses of my own writing.
That said, I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments! Whether you have some books you think I should write reviews for, or content ideas please let me know. I want to engage with you all more and build a strong community throughout the platforms even as we expand.
